{"product_id":"ksgi-delta-force-sf-vest","title":"KSGI Delta Force SF Vest","description":"\u003cp\u003eOur most obscure combat webbing repro yet, the SF Vest was the combination of what would appear to be several other chest rig design inspirations and ended up being a homebrewed favorite of the world's most elite special forces as the GWOT kettle began to boil with the hunt for Bin Laden \u0026amp; onward.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHomemade \u0026amp; unit-commissioned kit for the US special forces had its last big moments during the dawn hours of the hunt for Bin Laden - the original rig (or rigs, as there were several variants) was made with nonstandard woodland Cordura nylon \u0026amp; certainly looked different than many of the chest rigs that had been issued up to that point.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe rig features an almost unusually wide footprint, wrapping around most of the user's body - this was needed for the sheer amount of storage desired for 6 STANAG magazines, extra pistol mags, radios, and large GP pouches.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRounding out those features is a chest-rig-traditional map pouch on the back and curiously, \u003cem\u003eattachments for a pistol belt.\u003c\/em\u003e It seems to draw a few features from the prior \"LBV\" rigs present throughout the 80s and 90s but with a more modern twist to fit the needs of the spooks \u0026amp; seals that needed more in the demanding combat environment of Afghanistan.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe harness was a simple \"X\" design that had made itself popular since the 80s and was low bulk for throwing on over the commonly used soft armor from \"Point Blank\" and others of the time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOurs takes just about as much as you can possibly clone from the original and brings it all back, down to tracking down the odd nonstandard variant of woodland camo referred to as \"Woodland 787\".
